How to Change the World: In 500 Volumes

The gallery Art House in Atlanta, GA is shipping 500 sketchbooks around the world to be filled with content and showcased at an exhibition on August 23rd. The theme or inspirational point for the artists to build on is “How to change the world;” in the Art House’s own words:

“Everyone has ideas on how they would change the world. Whether its something as small as planting a tree or as grand as beating up every boss at the end of each level on the old Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arcade game, it’s your solution to the world. Show it in your sketchbooks.”

Once the artists receive their sketchbook, they have until August first to get it back to Art House. I signed up for this a few minutes ago… I love sketch books, especially when there’s a full-on concept to them. I don’t know how long these 500 books will last, but as of ten minutes ago there was still 450 of them left.
